MNRE Issues Amendment to Wind Turbine Component Regulations

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has amended the Revised List of Models and Manufacturers of Wind Turbines (RLMM), renaming it to Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (Wind) or ALMM (Wind). This amendment mandates the use of major wind turbine components from a specified list of manufacturers to enhance quality control, cybersecurity, and promote domestic manufacturing. It exempts certain projects and new manufacturers from these requirements for a limited time to encourage innovation.
