Modernization of Data Collection by MoSPI
The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) is modernizing its data collection systems through the National Statistics Office (NSO) by revamping the Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS) to enhance employment and unemployment indicators. The initiative includes the use of digital platforms and AI/ML technologies for data collection, ensuring high-quality and timely data dissemination. MoSPI also supports state-level statistical development and has launched new portals for better access to official statistics.
