Modi Meets Malaysian PM at BRICS Summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar bin Ibrahim during the 17th BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro. They reviewed bilateral relations since August 2024, discussing trade, investment, defense, education, healthcare, and tourism. Modi thanked Ibrahim for condemning the Pahalgam terror attack and emphasized cooperation in regional security and multilateral efforts. He congratulated Malaysia on its leadership in ASEAN and supported the ASEAN-India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, including the review of the ASEAN-India FTA.
