MoFPI Advances Food Processing Sector with PMKSY, PMFME, and PLISFPI Schemes

The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) continues its initiatives to enhance the food processing sector in India through schemes like Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana (PMKSY), PM Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME), and the Production Linked Incentive Scheme for Food Processing Industry (PLISFPI). As of December 2025, MoFPI approved 1607 projects under PMKSY, with a significant number already operational. These schemes aim to bolster infrastructure, assist entrepreneurs, and develop global champions in the food processing industry.
