Monetization of Enemy Properties in India Accelerated
The Ministry of Home Affairs in India has been actively monetizing enemy properties using the framework established by the Enemy Property Act, 1968. As of January 2026, enemy properties worth Rs. 2,930.00 crores have been sold. The government has implemented several measures, such as appointing local officials as ex-officio custodians and modifying auction conditions to speed up the process.
