MoPR Partners with IIM Ahmedabad for Panchayat Revenue Training
The Ministry of Panchayati Raj launched a Training of Trainers (ToT) program in New Delhi, in collaboration with IIM Ahmedabad, aimed at enhancing the financial self-sufficiency of Gram Panchayats through Own Source Revenue (OSR) generation. The program, attended by officials and Master Trainers from 16 States and UTs, focuses on equipping Panchayats with strategies for financial autonomy and community participation. Key areas of training include strategic approaches to OSR, behavioral science for tax collection, and project management for village development. The initiative is part of the Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) and aims to create a network of financially capable Panchayats across India.
