MoRD & MSDE Sign MoU to Empower Rural Women

The Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) and the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to empower women from Self-Help Groups (SHGs) through structured skilling, entrepreneurship development, and market-aligned livelihood interventions. This initiative aims to transform rural women into confident entrepreneurs and is part of the vision to create three crore Lakhpati Didis by 2047. The MoU includes customized training modules, formal certification, and joint outreach initiatives to strengthen rural livelihoods.
