This technique involves the use of gold nanorods that form ring-shaped deposits during evaporation, enhancing the detection of harmful substances. The method is cost-effective and could potentially be used with handheld Raman spectrometers, offering a new approach to monitoring illegal dye usage in food and cosmetics.
