MoSPI Enhances Data Accessibility and Transparency for Policy Making
The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), Government of India, is actively improving the dissemination and accessibility of social and environmental statistics, which are vital for policymaking and research. Through digital initiatives like the India SDG Dashboard and e-Sankhyiki portal, MoSPI has provided centralized access to crucial data. In partnership with the United Nations Resident Coordinator Office, MoSPI is aligning its Sustainable Development Goals indicators with the National Indicator Framework. By launching the Advance Release Calendar and conducting regular stakeholder consultations, MoSPI aims to foster an evidence-based approach to policy planning.
