MoSPI Enhances Monitoring of Major Projects via PAIMANA Portal

The Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation (MoSPI) has introduced the PAIMANA portal for enhanced monitoring of significant infrastructure projects in India. As of January 2026, the portal tracks 1,702 central infrastructure projects with combined investments nearing ₹33.71 lakh crore. This system synergizes with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade’s Integrated Project Monitoring Portal to boost efficiency, automate updates, and reduce manual data entry. Key measures by the government include frequent reviews via PRAGATI meetings led by the Prime Minister and a unique tiered escalation system to address project hurdles. Minister Rao Inderjit Singh shared this update in the Lok Sabha.
