MoSPI Hosts All-India Workshop With New Base Year

The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) has updated the base year for National Accounts to 2022-23 to better represent current economic structures and align with international standards. Concurrently, the base year for Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) will also be updated. To facilitate understanding and ensure consistency across States/UTs, MoSPI is organizing a workshop in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh from April 8-10, 2026. The workshop will cover methodological changes and GSDP compilation issues, with participation from around 150 officials.
