The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) is enhancing evidence-based policymaking through a series of reforms. These include modernizing National Sample Surveys with digital platforms and conducting short duration surveys for high-frequency data. MoSPI is upgrading macroeconomic statistics, revising National Metadata Structure, and improving data accessibility through new digital portals. The ministry provides training and resources to state agencies, aiming to boost their statistical capabilities. This was disclosed in a Lok Sabha reply by Minister Rao Inderjit Singh.
