MoUs Signed to Enhance Medicinal Plants Conservation in India
The National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB) of India signed two significant MoUs aimed at conserving rare medicinal plants and raising public awareness. The first MoU with IshVed-Bioplants focuses on conserving germplasm of endangered plants through tissue culture. The second MoU, involving NMPB, AIIA, and AIIMS, aims to establish a national medicinal plants garden at AIIMS, New Delhi, to educate the public about medicinal plants. Union Minister Shri Prataprao Jadhav emphasized the importance of integrating traditional knowledge with modern science for a healthier India by 2047.
