NALSA Launches SAMVAD Scheme to Enhance Legal Access for Tribal Communities
The NALSA SAMVAD Scheme, initiated by the National Legal Services Authority, aims to improve legal awareness and services for vulnerable tribal groups via community-based outreach. With 690 SAMVAD Units established nationwide, the Scheme focuses on legal aid related to land rights, welfare schemes, and social security for Scheduled Tribes, Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups, and De-Notified/Nomadic Tribes. It includes legal literacy programs and standardized reporting to ensure effective implementation.
