NALSA Provides Legal Aid to 458 Citizens in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh

The National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), established under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987, aims to provide free legal services to underprivileged sections of society. In Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, 16 Legal Aid Centres were set up under the District Legal Services Authority's supervision to ensure timely and effective justice delivery. During the 2025-26 reporting year, 458 citizens received free legal aid through the help of Panel Lawyers and Legal Aid Defense Counsels. This information was announced by the Minister of State for Law and Justice, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, in the Lok Sabha.
