The Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) has successfully celebrated its 5th year with an extensive campaign involving competitive and participatory activities, reaching over 6.5 crore people nationwide. Organized by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, the campaign has set new goals focusing on volunteer training, evidence-based communication, and inter-ministerial cooperation to address substance abuse issues. The National Drug Dependence Treatment Centre (NDDTC) at AIIMS leads efforts to gather new data on substance use, employing AI for targeted interventions, and enhancing de-addiction services across the country.
