National Career Service Portal Makes Significant Impact with Career Guidance and Job Listings

The National Career Service (NCS) Portal, under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, has significantly influenced the career landscape in India by onboarding 1180 career counsellors and conducting over 55 lakh career guidance sessions across the nation. As of January 20, 2026, more than 2.23 crore jobseekers have been shortlisted for various opportunities through the portal. The NCS provides comprehensive career-related services, including job listings in both private and government sectors, guidance on skill development, and enhancement programs to improve employability among the youth. Information was shared in Lok Sabha by Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, Minister of State for Labour and Employment.
