National Cooperative Policy 2025: Digital Integration and Inclusivity
The Ministry of Cooperation has indicated that no amendments are necessary in the Cooperative Societies Acts of States/UTs to fulfill the National Cooperative Policy 2025. It emphasizes the digital integration of state-level cooperative databases with the National Cooperative Database (NCD) through a standard API, now adopted by Rajasthan. In efforts to promote inclusivity, the Multi-State Cooperative Societies (MSCS) Amendment Act & Rules, 2023, promote greater representation of women and scheduled castes/tribes. The National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) introduces schemes to support cooperatives led by marginalized groups, disbursing significant funds to women-led and SC/ST cooperatives to enhance participation and support cooperative development across diverse sectors.
