National Council of Science Museums: Budget Allocation and Modernization Efforts

The National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) has received detailed budget allocations over the past five years, as per Annexure-I. Challenges pertaining to the budgetary requirements are addressed during the Budget Estimates (BE) and Revised Estimates (RE) stages. Efforts to modernize and expand NCSM's museums and science centers continue, with an emphasis on incorporating technology-driven exhibits for interactive learning experiences. The integration of VR, AR, and gamification in exhibits is a critical part of the modernization strategy, enhancing engagement and accessibility, particularly targeting rural populations through mobile and virtual exhibitions. The sustainability and inclusivity of these efforts are supported by the Ministry of Culture.
