National Livestock Mission Offers Capital Subsidy to Boost Infrastructure

The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Government of India, announced a 50% capital subsidy under its National Livestock Mission to promote the establishment of breeding farms and fodder value-addition units across various rural categories. Approximately 3,843 projects have been approved, entailing a total investment of Rs. 2672.65 crore with an approved subsidy of Rs. 1233.69 crore. To further enhance private investment in livestock infrastructure, the government is also providing interest subvention through the Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund. This initiative reflects the increasing indigenous cattle population in Rajasthan as per the Basic Animal Husbandry Statistics 2024.
