National Mission for Sustaining the Himalayan Ecosystem Update

The Department of Science and Technology (DST) is actively supporting several research and development initiatives under the National Mission for Sustaining the Himalayan Ecosystem (NMSHE). This includes the establishment of State Climate Change Centres (SCCCs) in 13 States/Union Territories of the Indian Himalayan Region and three Centres of Excellence at major universities to promote research addressing the challenges related to climate change and the Himalayan ecosystem.
