National Mission on Natural Farming Progress Update

The National Mission on Natural Farming (NMNF) has significantly progressed with the formation of 17,639 Natural Farming Clusters across 623 districts, training approximately 8.79 lakh farmers. The mission, coordinated by the States/UTs, actively involves Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) to provide field training in natural farming practices and the preparation of essential inputs. A new online certification system, the Natural Farming Certification System (NFCS), guarantees quality control and market linkage for natural farming produce under the Participatory Guarantee System – INDIA – NATURAL. This update was provided by the Minister of State for Agriculture, Shri Ramnath Thakur, in Rajya Sabha.
