National Policy Framework on Agriculture and Marketing (NPFAM)
The Government of India has launched the National Agriculture Market (e-NAM) platform to support farmers by facilitating fair pricing and reducing middlemen interference. As of June 2025, 1,522 mandis across 23 states and 4 Union Territories are integrated with e-NAM, showing significant increases in trade volume and value. The government also sets Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for 22 crops to ensure farmers receive fair compensation, with ongoing initiatives like PM-AASHA to support prices for specific crops.
