National Programme for Dairy Development (NPDD) Implementation
The National Programme for Dairy Development (NPDD) has been implemented by the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying since 2014-15, focusing on enhancing dairy infrastructure and market access for farmers. The program consists of two components: strengthening milk testing and chilling facilities, and promoting dairying through cooperatives. Significant investments have been made, including Rs.552.82 crore for projects in Gujarat, aimed at improving dairy processing and marketing capabilities.
