The National School Band Competition 2025–26, aligned with Republic Day Celebrations 2026, commenced its grand finale at National Bal Bhavan, New Delhi. The event was jointly inaugurated by Shri Sanjay Kumar, Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy, and Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh, Secretary, Ministry of Defence. Eighteen school bands from across India showcased their talents, highlighting the importance of discipline, teamwork, and musical excellence. The initiative, inspired by military bands, aims to cultivate leadership, discipline, and patriotism among students, in accordance with the National Education Policy 2020.
