National School Band Competition Culminates at Zonal Level

The National School Band Competition, part of the 2026 Republic Day celebrations, has concluded at the Zonal level with 16 school teams from across India advancing to the grand finale. This event, organized by the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Education, aimed to foster patriotism and unity among schoolchildren. The competition involved 763 school bands at the state level, narrowing down to 94 for the zonal contests. The finale will take place at the National Bal Bhavan, New Delhi. Prizes will be awarded to top performers in four band categories.
