The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) has revamped the National Sample Survey (NSS) to enhance data collection and accessibility. Starting January 2025, the sampling design will allow for district-level estimates, improving data-driven planning. The Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS) will provide monthly employment indicators. MoSPI emphasizes data quality through Standard Operating Procedures and offers technical support to states. New digital platforms, including the GoIStats Mobile App and e-Sankhyiki portal, aim to improve data accessibility and transparency for citizens.
