The Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, is organizing a National Workshop on Seafood Exports in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Scheduled for June 5th and 6th, 2026, the event aims to establish a roadmap for enhancing India's seafood export ecosystem. Distinguished guests, including the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and various Ministers from the Government of India, will attend. The workshop will focus on state-specific strategies, value addition, certification, traceability, and fostering integration of start-ups into the export ecosystem to boost India's competitiveness in global markets. Andhra Pradesh, a major hub for seafood exports, is set to significantly benefit from the workshop. The collaborative efforts and planned infrastructure investments are poised to expand India's seafood industry further.
