Nationwide Installation of EV Charging Stations Reaches 29,277

The Ministry of Heavy Industries reports that 29,277 public electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS) have been installed across India, as per the Ministry of Power. The installation follows the guidelines issued for electric vehicle charging infrastructure and battery swapping stations. A budget of Rs. 2,000 crore has been allocated under the PM E-DRIVE Scheme to enhance public charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.
