Nationwide Outreach Connects Fishers with Policymakers

Over 15,000 fishers and fish farmers participated in a series of virtual feedback sessions organized by the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, aimed at shaping the future of the fisheries and aquaculture sector in India. The sessions, held from April to September 2025, provided a platform for stakeholders to voice their concerns and suggestions, leading to discussions on key issues such as quality fish seed, infrastructure needs, and innovative technology adoption. The initiative is part of a broader effort to ensure inclusive growth in the fisheries sector, which is vital for the livelihoods of nearly 3 crore people in India.
