NBA Allocates ₹18.3 Lakh to Biodiversity Management Committees in UP and Sikkim

The National Biodiversity Authority (NBA) has released ₹18.3 lakh to Biodiversity Management Committees (BMCs) in Uttar Pradesh and Sikkim as part of the Access and Benefit Sharing initiative under the Biological Diversity Act, 2002. The funds were transferred to the Narrau village BMC in Aligarh, UP, and the Lampokhari Lake BMC in Aritar, Sikkim, to support local biodiversity conservation efforts and sustainable resource management.
