The National Biodiversity Authority has allocated ₹38.36 crore to the Andhra Pradesh Forest Department and ₹1.48 crore to the State Biodiversity Board for the protection and conservation of Red Sanders. This funding is part of India's Access and Benefit Sharing initiative, which has now exceeded ₹110 crore. The initiative aims to enhance biodiversity conservation efforts, empower local communities, and support sustainable management of Red Sanders, a species native to the Eastern Ghats.
