NEST Cluster Launches in North East India to Boost Innovation and Skills

The North Eastern Science & Technology Cluster (NEST) has been established in India with a five-year plan, sanctioned at ₹22.98 crore. Administered by the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, the initiative aims to promote research and skill development through four focus areas: innovation in grassroots technologies, semiconductor and AI tech, bamboo-based technology, and biodegradable plastics. The project will use a hub-and-spoke model to connect academia, industry, and government agencies across the region.
