NESTS Hosts GI-Tagged Tribal Art Showcase in New Delhi

The three-day GI-Tagged Tribal Art Workshop & Exhibition, held by the National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS) under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, concluded successfully in New Delhi. The event featured students from EMRS engaging with master artisans to learn and showcase India’s diverse geographic indication-tagged tribal arts. With 139 students and 10 expert artisans participating, the workshop aimed to integrate cultural education with vocational training, promoting tribal art forms like Gond, Warli, and Kalamkari. Culminating in an exhibition, all 173 student artworks were sold, marking significant success and demonstrating the potential for future livelihood opportunities.
