New Flexibility in PDMC Scheme to Enhance Water Conservation and Farmer Income
The Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has introduced new flexibility under the Per Drop More Crop (PDMC) scheme, allowing States and Union Territories to implement micro-level water storage and conservation projects. This initiative aims to promote efficient water use and boost farmer income by enabling localized planning for water management activities, such as diggi construction and water harvesting systems. The funding limits for these activities have also been increased, providing greater flexibility to meet specific regional needs.
