New Guidelines for Pension Benefits for Central Government Employees
The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions has issued new instructions regarding the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) for Central Government employees. These guidelines allow employees who opt for UPS to avail benefits under the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) in cases of death or discharge due to invalidation or disablement. Employees must submit a prescribed form to their respective ministries to exercise this option.
