The Ministry of Jal Shakti has inaugurated the Aqua Life Conservation Monitoring Centre in Dehradun, focusing on Ganga and other river ecosystems. The centre aims to research and monitor riverine biodiversity and ecosystem health. Additional facilities include a SMART laboratory in Chambal Sanctuary and various rescue centres across the Ganga River Basin.
