New Rules Under Inter-Services Organisations Act 2023

The Ministry of Defence has notified new rules under the Inter-Services Organisations (Command, Control and Discipline) Act 2023, effective from May 27, 2025. These rules aim to enhance command efficiency and jointness among the Armed Forces, empowering Commanders-in-Chief and Officers-in-Command to maintain discipline and administration without altering unique service conditions. The Act, which received presidential assent in August 2023, is now fully operational, facilitating the effective functioning of Inter-Services Organisations (ISOs).
