New Subsidy Schemes to Support Food Processing Industries

The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) is implementing several subsidy schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana (PMKSY), Production Linked Incentive Scheme for Food Processing Industry (PLISFPI), and PM Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME). These schemes aim to enhance food processing infrastructure, reduce post-harvest losses, and create employment opportunities. The upcoming World Food India (WFI) event in September 2025 will further promote investment in the food processing sector.
