New Villages Added to India's Vibrant Village Programme-II

The Indian Ministry of Home Affairs has announced the approval of the Vibrant Villages Programme-II (VVP-II), a Central Sector Scheme aimed at developing villages along India’s international land borders. With an outlay of ₹6839 crores, VVP-II will target various developmental areas including road connectivity, livelihood generation, energization, village infrastructure, and more. The initiative will encompass 33 border villages in Bahraich district, focusing on enhancing infrastructure, financial inclusion, youth empowerment, and tourism. The program's goal is to bolster the socio-economic landscape of these remote regions.
