NHAI Awards Contract for Azamgarh City Bypass Construction

The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways announced that the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has awarded a contract for the construction of a 15 km long four-lane South–East Bypass for Azamgarh City in Uttar Pradesh. The project aims to improve regional traffic flow and minimize congestion within the city by forming a continuous ring road around Azamgarh. It will include several infrastructure elements such as a flyover, a railway overbridge, interchanges, and underpasses. The project, with a budget of Rs. 368.85 crores, has been given to M/s Kaluwala Construction Private Limited on an EPC basis. Once completed, the bypass is expected to enhance connectivity, reduce logistics costs, and support economic growth in the region.
