NHAI Debars Concessionaire for Slope Protection Collapse on NH-66

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has debarred M/s Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Ltd. from future bids following the collapse of slope protection works on NH-66 in Kerala. The incident, attributed to poor design and inadequate drainage, occurred on June 16, 2025. A Show Cause Notice has been issued, imposing a one-year debarment and a monetary penalty of up to Rs. 9 crore. An expert committee has been formed to review the situation and recommend remedial measures.
