The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways has taken decisive action by terminating the contract with Skylark Infra Engineering Pvt. Ltd. for misconduct at the Bara Fee Plaza in Uttar Pradesh. On January 14, 2026, the agency was involved in an incident of assaulting a highway user, leading to a show-cause notice proposing a one-year debarment from future NHAI contracts and the encashment of a ₹5.3 crore bank guarantee for breach of contract.
