NHAI Simplifies Know Your Vehicle Process for FASTag Users

The NHAI has revised the Know Your Vehicle (KYV) process for FASTag users to enhance convenience and customer experience. The new guidelines eliminate the need for side photographs of vehicles, requiring only a front picture with the number plate and FASTag. Users can now automatically fetch RC details by entering their vehicle or mobile number. FASTags issued prior to the new policy will remain active unless there are complaints. Issuer banks will assist users in completing the KYV process and send SMS reminders. This initiative aims to strengthen the FASTag ecosystem and improve the experience for National Highway users.
