NHAI Takes Action Against Contractor and Officials Over Pavement Issues in Gujarat

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has suspended a contractor, an authority engineer, and an NHAI official due to the distressed condition of the pavement on the Amritsar-Jamnagar Economic Corridor in Gujarat. The contractor, M/s CDS Infra Projects Limited, is debarred from future bids and faces a monetary penalty for defects in the pavement caused by poor drainage and construction flaws. Expert committees have been formed to analyze the situation and recommend remedial measures, while the contractor has begun rectification work.
