NHRC Concludes Online Short-Term Internship for Students

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of India has successfully concluded its two-week Online Short-Term Internship program, which saw the participation of 69 students from various universities across 21 states and one Union Territory. NHRC Member Smt Vijaya Bharathi Sayani emphasized the importance of empathy in justice and highlighted the need for addressing human rights violations, particularly concerning the displaced tribal population in Andhra Pradesh. The program included 35 sessions on human rights and virtual tours to key facilities like Tihar Jail and Asha Kiran Shelter Home.
