NHRC Investigates Deaths from Nitrogen Gas Leak in Maharashtra
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of India has taken suo motu cognizance of the deaths of four workers and injuries to two others due to a nitrogen gas leak at a pharmaceutical manufacturing unit in Palghar, Maharashtra. The NHRC has issued notices to the Chief Secretary and the DGP of Maharashtra, demanding a detailed report within two weeks regarding the investigation status, compensation for the deceased's families, and the health of the injured workers.
