NHRC Investigates Fatality and Health Crisis Due to Contaminated Water in Indore
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of India has taken suo motu cognizance of a tragic incident in the Bhagirathpura area of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, where seven people died and more than 40 were hospitalized after consuming contaminated water. Despite residents reporting issues with the water supply, authorities allegedly failed to act. The NHRC has demanded a detailed report from the state within two weeks.
