NHRC Investigates Patient Death Due to Hospital Mismanagement in Kanpur

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of India has taken notice of a reported incident at Kanpur Medical College where a 25-year-old patient died due to alleged mismanagement by hospital and police personnel. The patient, who was admitted in serious condition, died after a police escort failed to arrive for 6-7 hours to accompany him to another hospital. The NHRC has issued notices to the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police of Uttar Pradesh for a detailed report within two weeks, highlighting serious human rights violations.
