NHRC Investigates Police Violence in Ghazipur

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has taken notice of a villager's death and injuries to others during a police lathi charge in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, while protesting against electricity pole installations. The NHRC has requested a detailed report from the DGP and DM of Ghazipur within two weeks, highlighting serious human rights concerns.
